Hey, I'm Stacy Rhea, an Ohio native making waves on Cleveland's East side. In 2003, I decided on a whim to participate in duathlon, a run-bike-run event. I had been looking for a new challenge. By the race's end, I was completely hooked. A year into training, an ankle injury redirected me to the pool for fitness maintenance. Despite not having swum since my childhood, I unexpected enjoyed being in the pool. After a few weeks in the water, I signed myself up for a — half-Ironman covering 1.2 miles of swimming, 56 miles of biking, and a 13.1-mile run, totaling 70.3 miles. A standout lesson from this race and my 20-plus race career: Whatever you set your mind to, you can achieve it, as long as you have a plan, train consistently, and believe in yourself. Today, I fuse passion with purpose, leveraging my 30 years of experience as a trainer, athlete, and coach to work with individuals of all ages and abilities—in the water, on the road, and on dirt trails.
