I have loved being in the water for as long as I can remember. Every summer I would spend entire days up at the pool between having practice, teaching lessons, and free swim hours. In those years I probably spent more of my time in water than on land lol. I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher and/or working with children and since my love for the pool has never died, being a swim coach is something I am very passionate about. My teaching philosophy is that no matter how scary the pool may seem to some, we can find a way to make swimming fun and exciting. I love watching my students triumphantly conquer a new skill and celebrating the little wins!
My friends and family would describe me as happy, caring, and compassionate. In my free time, I like to crochet, watch anime, play video games, read, and play Dungeons and Dragons. I also love being out in nature hiking, riding a bike, or going to Edgewater Beach to soak up the sun and play soccer with friends in the summer. Last year, one of my friends actually ran into MGK when we were up at the beach!
