At Liquid Lifestyles, our Liquid Bubbles curriculum is anything but cookie-cutter. It's the result of over two decades of refinement, originally crafted from our experience working with elite-level athletes. 🏊‍♂️ 🌟 Our unique approach has been making waves in the local and national swim school community, and we're excited to share it with you!

Here’s a little peek into the backstory – we started with advanced techniques designed for adults and then worked our magic in reverse. We crafted these progressions into a child-friendly curriculum that’s all about smarter, more graceful, and safer swimming practices. It's like taking the best and making it even better for our young swimmers. And you know what’s even cooler? Our commitment doesn’t stop at the basics. If those young champs want to keep on swimming, we’ve got the coaches who can guide them through advanced skill progressions. 🏆 We’re not just teaching swimming – we’re nurturing a lifelong love for it.

We understand how important it is for children to feel comfortable and confident in the water. That’s why we prioritize small class sizes. Research shows that when it comes to learning to swim, class size matters. This is especially true for young ones who might have anxieties or previous negative experiences around water. With Liquid Lifestyles, all our classes are designed in a semi-private format, ensuring that there are just two swimmers per coach. This personalized attention paves the way for quicker progress and a more enjoyable learning experience. Even in our advanced classes, our commitment to quality means you’ll still find only two students per instructor.

Our classes run continuously throughout the year, with very few schedule changes. This means you have the freedom to enroll your child at any time that suits you. Once you’ve chosen a time slot that works, it’s yours to keep until you decide otherwise or until your child is ready to move on to the next level. We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every child is wonderfully unique and progresses at their own pace. That’s why we’ve ditched predetermined lesson quotas. No more counting down lessons per level. Instead, we focus on your child’s individual journey, advancing them when they consistently demonstrate proficiency and mastery of skills. Unlike other programs that might push kids forward based on a fixed calendar, we’re all about making sure your child is truly ready for the next exciting stage. So, whether it’s your child’s first day or they’re ready to conquer new challenges, you’re in control of their swimming adventure at Liquid Lifestyles.

STROKE DEVELOPMENT FROM THE START
Parents often ask us about our training philosophies and skill progressions. So allow us to break it down for you – stroke development is a fundamental component of our program, introduced from the very beginning—even at the foundational levels. This approach is what sets Liquid Lifestyles apart from traditional swim schools.

We implement stroke mechanics in a developmentally appropriate way, matching the motor skill abilities of each age group. Before we move on to advanced stroke techniques, our focus is on building the core skills of body position, breath control, buoyancy, and water safety. Mastering these basics provides a strong foundation, so when more complicated movements are introduced, they’re executed with greater precision and ease.

Our belief is simple: lasting results come from laying a proper foundation. While the process of creating this foundation might take longer, the outcome is longer-lasting. Swimmers who consistently demonstrate understanding and mastery of these essential skills are not only safer in the water, but they also find it easier to progress into more coordinated, efficient swimming strokes.

LIQUID BUBBLES 1 (LB-1)

PRIMARY FOCUS: COMFORT

Starting off, we've got Liquid Bubbles 1 (LB-1) – the perfect entry point. This class is all about sparking a deep love and respect for the water while focusing on underwater COMFORT. We believe that being relaxed underwater should be considered the top-priority and is truly the most important skill to develop. So, we make sure to have a blast while diving down! Safety is a top priority too, and we make it a routine to practice those important skills. You won't believe how fast kids zoom ahead once they're free from fear. We're all about combining confidence AND skills and the results are clear.

  • Create HAPPY SWIMMERS that enjoy being in AND UNDER the water

  • Overcome anxiety and increase COMFORT using interactive games, dive toys and songs

  • Experience RELAXED movement and buoyancy in various aquatic positions (front and back)

  • Learn how to safely enter the pool and navigate to an exit

  • Establish the fundamentals for independent and sustainable swimming techniques with focus on breath control and proper body alignment

  • Continual reinforcement of pool safety rules and importance of boundaries

LIQUID BUBBLES 2 (LB-2)

PRIMARY FOCUS: INDEPENDENCE

As your little ones progress to our Liquid Bubbles 2 (LB-2) class, get ready for some exciting milestones! 🌟 Now they're diving into the world of INDEPENDENCE by mastering the art of proper breathing techniques and nailing those body positions in the water. And here's something cool – we're all about nose bubbles, not mouth bubbles! It might sound a bit surprising, but trust us, it's a game-changer. Learning how to do those nose bubbles is like a secret key to success. Sure, it might take a tad more time to get the hang of, but the payoff is huge. Your child's comfort underwater will soar, and they'll be ready to tackle more advanced swim skills with gusto. We intentionally hold off on teaching above-water arm movements until your child has nailed down underwater comfort, balance, and body awareness. So in LB-2 we’re diving into underwater arm pulls. Why? Because it's all about setting them up for success. By waiting until they're truly ready, your child can focus on developing controlled, purposeful movements instead of struggling. Underwater arm pulls are safer for beginners, more sustainable, and way more practical for those shorter swims. We're all about building strong foundations that last. 🏊‍♀️🌊

  • Improve breath management skills and develop rhythmic air exchange with introduction of NOSE BUBBLES!

  • Learn independent and sustainable swimming techniques for ONE FULL LENGTH of:

    • "Bubble Roll-Ups" (using both “pop-up” and rollover breathing techniques)

    • Elementary Backstroke basics

  • Develop functional flutter kicks, proper balance and alignment (front and back) to prepare for future stroke development

  • Independent retrieval of dive toys 36” deep from surface dive with nose bubbles and return swim to wall (no cap/goggles, eyes open)

  • Introduction of treading water and reinforcement of pool safety rules

LIQUID BUBBLES 3 (LB-3)

PRIMARY FOCUS: CONTROLLED MOVEMENT

As your child advances to the Liquid Bubbles 3 (LB-3) class level, get ready for an exciting leap into mastering more technical swim skills! 🏊‍♂️✨ Our LB-3 classes are where the magic happens. Parents are often amazed by how smoothly their children glide through the water. We take immense pride in teaching purposeful, CONTROLLED MOVEMENTS right from the get-go. You won't find the wild splashing and erratic arm and leg flailing or floatation device chaos you might see in other swim programs. Nope, not at Liquid Lifestyles. Our approach is all about sustainability and setting your child up for a lifetime of swimming enjoyment and water skills. In our advanced classes, our coaches guide the kids through progressive drills that teach efficient movements – it's like giving them the keys to unlock a world of swimming joy.

  • Increase breath control and underwater swimming confidence with various retrieval games and underwater exercises

  • Improve kicking propulsion and efficiency in various aquatic positions

  • Basic long-axis stroke development (Freestyle and Backstroke) with introduction to above-water recoveries and breathing techniques:

  • Refine Elementary Backstroke arms and introduce Breaststroke kick

  • Confidently pass the Liquid Bubbles 5-Star Safety Test™ in under 15 minutes:

    1. PROFICIENT KICKING: 25 yards each of Freestyle, Backstroke and Breaststroke kick, demonstrating propulsive and effective leg movements. All kicks must be considered legal by USA Swimming Guidelines.

    2. STROKE PROFICIENCY - FREESTYLE: 25 yards of continuous full stroke Freestyle. Swimmer must demonstrate consistent and sustainable movements with proficient breathing techniques and alignment.

    3. STROKE PROFICIENCY - BACKSTROKE: 25 yards of full stroke Backstroke. Swimmer must maintain proper balance and consistently demonstrate propulsive kicks and controlled movements.

    4. UNDERWATER SWIM: Confidently swim 25 yards below the surface with a maximum of 5 pop-up breaths. Swim must be smooth and with controlled breathing.

    5. DEEP WATER TREAD & RETRIEVAL: Wall jump followed by 1 minute of treading water followed by surface dive to object at minimum 6 feet deep (no cap/goggles, eyes open).
