I have been a swimmer since before I can even remember, and I mean that literally! I started competitively swimming and synchronized swimming at age 2 because they couldn’t keep me out of the water! My family has always joked that I have chlorine running through my veins and I am inclined to agree! To this day I look at swimming as one of the most fulfilling things I have done in my life. My love of the sport only increased over the years and I fell in love with teaching both competitive and synchronized swimming. I love the feeling of helping someone finally crack a skill they have been struggling with or finding that breakthrough teaching technique that makes everything make sense. My coaching philosophy is very personalized to what each student needs. Some students need a helping hand while others need tough love, but regardless of their level I always push them to do the best they can, and then a little bit better! I’ve known for a long time that I wanted to be a coach and I couldn’t be happier that it is at Liquid Lifestyles!
I happen to be a Jack of all trades when it comes to my athletic experience, as it is not limited to the water. I grew up doing 10 sports from soccer, to sailing, to cross county, to gymnastics, to diving, to skiing, and more! I absolutely loved every single sport I did and always wanted to be the best. To say I am a little competitive is the understatement of the century! In my free time I love to hang out with my family, read a good book, watch fun movies and shows, and go on little adventures with my friends (all of which usually end with ice cream!) I have a dog named Hemingway and two cats named Fezziwig and Tilly, whom I love dearly! Anyone I know would describe me as a glass half full type of person; I love to find the fun in life and share it with other people! My hope in coaching is to pour a little bit of fun into my student’s lives, and maybe teach them a thing or two about swimming while I’m at it!
