STAY HEALTHY & WARM WHEN SWIMMING IN THE WINTER

We’re sledding, skiing, AND swimming!

KEEP YOUR LITTLE MONSTERS & PENGUINS HEALTHY & WARM

Despite the cold, swimming in the winter is still a fantastic indoor activity for you and your family! Whether it be swim lessons or just for fun, pool time is a great way to get out of the cold and maybe pretend you’re somewhere warmer! And while its always warm at Liquid Lifestyles you do have to step back into the snow globe to get back home. This risk is evident at any point in winter but increases with a combination of wet hair and cold air.  We at Liquid Lifestyles know all about this combo and have picked up a few hacks to share with coaches, clients and parents alike.

DON’T FORGET TO BRING:

1 - BATHROBE / SURF PONCHO

What’s WAY better than a towel? A quick-dry microfiber changing robe is SUPER absorbent and specifically designed for easy changing in public places. Throw it on (or over) your child to quickly cover them and to keep them toasty warm from the pool to the locker room. You can also get them with hoods for extra coverage. And there’s no chance it will be dragged on the wet ground like those towels do! Bonus!

2 - HAT THAT COVERS THE EARS

Our last hack is probably our easiest hack and great for those who like to rinse off at home. Toss a warm hat and scarf in the bag, stuff that wet hair in the hat, wrap the scarf and enter snow globe! A hat alone is great, but adding the scarf really helps prevent chills later on. Once home, rinse off and have a hot glass of coco!

3 - EXTRA PAIR OF WARM SOCKS!

Keeping those feet warm does wonders for the whole body! Often times the socks that you arrive at the pool with somehow find themselves damp and cold by the time it’s time to leave the pool. Stuff an extra dry pair in your swim bag and it will make a BIG difference for those little toes!
