FAVORITE QUOTES
“You have no enemies, no one in this world is your enemy. There is no one who you should hurt.”
My name is John Alex Mulrooney, I moved up to Cleveland from Mississippi with my fiancé Kyra, and son Myles in late 2023. I started teaching swim lessons when I started working as a lifeguard in 2016. I have competed in many different sports and have had more coaches than I can count, and always had a difficult time adjusting to a different coach when my own had to step away. That was until I met coach Megan, what had set coach Megan apart from every coach I had in the past was her effort to connect with me on a level deeper than sport. I have taken this and adopted it into my coaching philosophy ever since. I believe that being a proper instructor to my student is of upmost importance, however I find that knowing things as small as what my students favorite song is makes a worlds difference. I love coaching swim lessons, because I believe that swimming is very important to not only assure safety, but also to experience what great fun being in the water can hold.
