CLASS DESCRIPTION:

Fitness swimmers will have the opportunity to enjoy a new variety of training techniques that offer improved balance and symmetry across all muscular systems, an increased range of motion and the addition of new and exciting challenges in workout design.

PREREQUISITES:

  • Can swim 50 yards continuously (any stroke)
  • Comfortable underwater and in deep water
  • Interested in improving 4 STROKE speed & efficiency

PRIMARY FOCUS: INDEPENDENCE

  • Develop proper stroke mechanics and basic understanding of all 4 competitive strokes: Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly
  • Learn basic short-axis and long-axis drill progressions
  • Heightened body awareness and self-critique
